Meet Abe Fuentes
Meet Abe Fuentes
Abe Fuentes is the founder of SafeHer Academy™ and creator of Surviving The Red Zone™, a college safety and preparedness program designed to help parents prepare college-bound daughters for the real world.
With more than 35 years of experience in personal protection, law enforcement, martial arts instruction, defensive tactics, and risk management, Abe has dedicated his career to helping people recognize threats early, make better decisions under pressure, and navigate challenging situations with greater confidence.
His background includes service as a police officer, executive protection specialist, defensive tactics instructor, martial arts instructor, and trainer for law enforcement, firefighters, corporate professionals, and private citizens. Throughout his career, he has taught practical protection principles focused on awareness, decision-making, and prevention.
Today, Abe's mission is to help young women develop the awareness, confidence, and practical protection skills needed to navigate college life and everyday environments more safely.
Through SafeHer Academy™, he teaches parents and daughters how to think like protectors before they need to—focusing on recognizing problems early, maintaining options, and making safer decisions long before a situation becomes an emergency.
